CommodityAI provides dedicated EU data residency for customers with European data sovereignty requirements. When enabled, all customer document data remains entirely within EU boundaries throughout its lifecycle—from initial upload through processing to deletion.

Supported EU Regions

CommodityAI maintains infrastructure across multiple cloud providers within the European Union:
  • AWS: Frankfurt (eu-central-1), Ireland (eu-west-1)
  • GCP: Belgium (europe-west1), Frankfurt (europe-west3)
  • Azure: Frankfurt (germanywestcentral), Netherlands (westeurope)

Data Boundary Commitment

Customer document data never traverses outside EU infrastructure. Operational telemetry (service health metrics containing no document content) may be processed globally.

Subprocessors

CommodityAI enforces EU-only processing for all document-related operations.

Data Retention & Deletion

CommodityAI applies strict retention controls for EU data residency customers.

Retention

  • Documents and processed outputs are deleted according to customer-defined retention periods
  • Zero Data Retention (ZDR) available for Enterprise customers, with automatic deletion within 24 hours
  • All stored data encrypted using AES-256; all transfers secured via TLS 1.2+

Deletion

  • Deletion is automatic and irreversible upon retention period expiration
  • No backups or archives of customer document data are retained beyond the configured window
  • Cached data and logs containing customer content follow the same retention policy
