CommodityAI
CommodityAI is a Commodity Operating System for companies that buy, sell, move, finance, and settle physical commodities. The platform models commodity operations around standard business objects such as contracts, counterparties, shipments, allocations, costs, payments, and trade finance records. Document intelligence is still a core part of the system. CommodityAI classifies documents, extracts source records, and links source material back to the operational records it creates or supports. The goal is not just to extract data from PDFs; it is to keep the commercial, logistics, finance, and compliance workflow connected to the evidence behind it.Documentation

Core Concepts
| Concept | Description |
|---|---|
| Standard Objects | Commodity-specific records such as contracts, counterparties, shipments, allocations, costs, payments, and letters of credit |
| Source Records | Structured records extracted from documents, emails, and files |
| Source Provenance | Links from operational records back to the source documents, fields, and files that support them |
| Configurable Objects | Flexible schemas for customer-specific records that sit alongside standard objects |
| API-First Access | Programmatic access to definitions, records, sources, and operational data |
Operating Flow
CommodityAI connects document automation to commodity operations:- Ingest source material — Receive documents, emails, and files.
- Extract source records — Classify, split, and extract structured data with provenance.
- Create or update objects — Use extracted data to support contracts, shipments, counterparties, and other operational records.
- Manage workflows — Allocate trades, track shipments, add costs, review payments, and manage trade finance requirements.
- Integrate downstream — Access records and source lineage through the API or dashboard.
